Foster has specialized in lighting for major motion pictures for more than 35 years. He founded Ambiance Party Lighting in 2001 when he saw how the proper type of lighting could enhance an event and add a dimension to the guests' enjoyment.

Ambiance designs and installs lighting for parties, events, weddings, landscapes and interiors.

You'll see samples of his work on this site but you'll also want to call and make a personal appointment with Foster to see how he can create a special atmosphere of light that is personally tailored for your wedding, private gathering, company event or
non-profit dinner.

And, for movie fans, Foster has worked on productions ranging from documentaries to major motion pictures and television shows.

He brought new techniques to the making of many ground-breaking low budget theatrical films including Easy Rider.

Some of his recent credits include the films Sleepless in Seattle, My Best Friend's Wedding; the television shows NYPD Blue, Without a Trace, and Just Shoot Me.

Foster does lighting seminars once a month for emerging filmmakers at Birns and Sawyer, a Los Angeles-based lighting and camera equipment company. The lighting seminars are distributed on videotape across the United States and Europe.
